PORT ALLEGANY- Jay J. Horvath, 51, of S. Main St. passed away Friday (May18, 2012) in the Charles Cole Mem. Hospital, Coudersport.
Born June 4, 1960, in Flemington, NJ, he was a son of Joseph and Irene Hommer Horvath.
Mr. Horvath had been employed by Postlewait Logging Co. of Port Allegany.
He was a veteran, having served with the US Army from 1982-84.
He graduated from the Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ.
He was a resident of area for over 30 years coming from Flemington, NJ.
He was a member of the Austin United Methodist Church; the American Legion Post 258, Port Allegany, and the Roulette Fish & Game Club.
Surving are his father Joseph Horvath of Austin, PA, three sisters, Sharen (Jay Roush) Horvath of Port Allegany, Lorie F. Kuhar of Glen Gardner, NJ, and Kim G. (Brent) Ingram of Florence, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later time and place to be announced.
Memorials can be made to the Veteran’s Memorial Home of Port Allegany.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
