Janice R. HAND, 91, of Genesee, PA, formerly of Millville, NJ, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 in Wellsville Manor, Wellsville, NY. Born June 15, 1924, in Millville, NJ, she was the daughter of Elmo and Nellie Weigand Grassman. She was married to William A. Hand, who predeceased her in 1995. A registered nurse, she was employed by Millville Hospital for 30 years. Janice was a member of the Genesee United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Harrison-Ulysses-Genesee senior center in Ulysses, and served as a volunteer at Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport for several years. Surviving are: three children, Gary B. (Dot) Hand of Hendersonville, NC and William Barry (Janet) Hand of Reno, NV, and Shelley Lorraine (Richard) Jones of Genesee, PA; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas E. (Jane) Grassman of Phoenix, AZ; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Doris Breckley. A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Genesee United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chrisine Mastin will officiate.
