Jane S. Dugan
ROULETTE- Jane S. Dugan, 65, of Burleson Ave., passed away Wednesday (June 8. 2016) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born March 4, 1951, in St. Mary’s, PA, she was a daughter of William and Jane Krug Smith. On Nov. 11, 1984, in Port Allegany, she married Richard W. Dugan, who survives.
Jane was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, class of 1969.
Mrs. Dugan had been a waitress in several area restaurants, Jim & Hilda’s, Mickey’s, Old Hickory Tavern, Paul’s Motel, & Brookside Inn all of Coudersport; the Cookery and Canoe Place Inn of Port Allegany. She also bartended at the Saw & Wedge, and Northwood Tavern. Most recently she had worked for Potter Pack of Coudersport, and Potter County Public Assistance-Energy Assistance department, before her retirement.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Smethport, where she was past president of Lutheran Women of Northwestern PA Synod, and president of Church Women United, Port Allegany. She was also a life member of the Roulette Fire Department, and member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 460, Port Allegany.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Richard, are a son, Matthew C. (Margaret) Dugan of Indiana, PA; 3 grandchildre;, a brother, Jude (Charles) Smith of Clarksville, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Anne Schloder, two brothers, David and John Smith; and a sister, Carol Meyer.
Friends will be received from 6-8 Friday and 12 -2 p.m. Saturday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joann Piatko, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Smethport, officiating.
