James C. Renner
SMETHPORT- James C. Renner, 44, of Champlin Hill Rd., passed away Sunday (June 18, 2017) in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
Born April 6, 1973, he was a son of Frederick D. and Jane E. Arnold Renner. On June 8, 2001, he married Jessica L. Wymer, who survives.
James was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1991.
He was employed as a correctional officer for 16 years, with the McKean County Jail.
He was a member of the St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church of Port Allegany.
James was an outdoorsman who enjoyed, hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and four wheeling; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jessica, and his parents, Frederick and Jane Renner of Port Allegany, are a son, Jacob J.M. Renner; two daughters, Jenna L. Renner and Jillian E.E. Renner all of Smethport; a brother, Todd F. (Karen) Renner of Rochester, NY; a sister, Alisa D. Bennett of Smethport; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday (June 23, 2017) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, with Robert Johnson, officiating.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
