James R. OUTMAN, 53, of Genesee, PA, died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
Born August 9, 1965, in Wellsboro, he was the son of Robert C. Outman and Rebecca L. Guilds Sherman Outman.
He was employed as a machine operator by Morgan Advanced Materials in Coudersport for 26 years.
Jim served as a surrogate father to many young people in his life.
Surviving are: six children,Shawn Shaffer of Denver, CO, Dawn Shaffer of Whitesville, NY, Jessica Roupp of Coudersport, Justin Outman of Coudersport, Austin Outman of Genesee, and Apryl Outman of Genesee; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Robert "Tom" (Jeanne) Sherman of Harrison Valley and Q. Van Sherman of Mills; six sisters, Diana Sherman of Ulysses, Judy (Lynn) Graves of Covington, Nora Sherman of Clemmons, NC, Dorla (Rick) Cole of Tioga, Vanessa (Richard Surdam) Dapp of Galeton, and Sheila (Allan) Chappell of Ceres; an aunt, Marlene Palys of Mills; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his former wife, Evelyn Outman.
A memorial gathering will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Saulter Preserve, Coudersport, PA.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
