James R. Barber
PORT ALLEGANY- James R. Barber, 57, of Aspen Dr., passed away Tuesday May 7, 2019) at his mother’s home, surrounded by his family.
Born November 1, 1961, in Coudersport, he was a son of Anthony and Patricia Wykoff Barber.
James was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1979.
He had been employed with Pittsburgh Corning Co. for 29 years, and most recently with Dresser Pipeline Solutions of Bradford.
James was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 460, Port Allegany, and Sons of the Legion, both Crosby and Port Allegany, and Falls Creek Eagle’s Club, Falls Creek, PA.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Patricia Barber of Roulette, are a son, Wade C. (Toncha) Barber of Roulette; a daughter, Amber J. (Leslie) Davenport of Bradford; 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, two sisters, Toni (Mark) Maille of Shinglehouse, Robin (Joe) Kaziska of Roulette; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service at 6 p.m. Friday (May 17, 2019) in the Veteran’s Memorial Home, Port Allegany.
