Jack R. TOWERS

Jack R. TOWERS, 89, of Genesee, PA, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his home. Born February 21, 1923, in Driftwood, PA, he was the son of Earl R. and Iva Hopple Towers. A US Army Veteran, he served honorably during World War II. Jack was a self-employed dairy farmer and he operated a sawmill and blacksmith shop. He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, and trapping. There are no known relatives. He was predeceased by his parents. Friends may call at the Ellisburg Union Church on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Paul M. Karges will officiate. Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wellsville SPCA, P.O.
