Howard L. HINKLE, Sr.

Howard L. HINKLE, Sr., 67, of Scio, NY, died Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.

Born October 10, 1954, in Wellsville, he was the son of John C. and Ella F. Antes Hinkle.  A graduate of Scio Central School, he was employed as a machinist by Dresser-Rand in Wellsville for 40 years.  Howard was a past member of the Scio Rod and Gun Club, Scio Volunteer Fire Department, and the Stannard United Methodist Church until it closed.

Surviving are:  two children, Howard L. (Dillon) Hinkle, Jr. of Wellsville and Rebecca (Gary) Veley of Friendship;  a step-daughter, Ashley Curry of Scio;  seven grandchildren;  two sisters, Hazel Cornell of Scio and Louella Culbert of NC;  two brothers, John Hinkle, Jr. of Cuba and Randy (Belinda) Hinkle of Indiana, PA;  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins;  and friend, Lillian Free.  He was predeceased by his parents;  his first wife, Linda S. Seaward;  his second wife, Julia M. Fanton;  and three brothers, Lyle James Hinkle, Michael Hinkle, and Charles Hinkle.

Friends may call Friday, November 5, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Scio.
