Howard “Bruce” Johnson
PORT ALLEGANY- Howard “Bruce” Johnson, 79, of Revenna, OH, formerly of Port Allegany, passed away Saturday (June 15, 2019) in his home, after a lengthy illness.
Born February 12, 1940, in Port Allegany, he was a son of John E. and Veronica J. Baker Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was employed by Kennametal Corp. of Solon, OH, as a machinist, before his retirement.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 123, Revenna, OH. He was an avid outdoorsman and poker player.
Suriviving are two daughters, Bambi Lyne (Dale) Daub of Chicora, PA, Melanie A. (Duane) Brubaker of Whitesville, NY; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara J. Yaeger of Smethport; two brothers-in-law, Robert Strait and Dave McIsaac; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert and John Johnson; two sisters, Dorothy A. Strait and Sandra L. McIsaac.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (June 18, 2019) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. J.T. Madison, pastor of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
