Herbert L. MAYNARD

Herbert Leroy "Herbie" MAYNARD, 85, of Harrison Valley, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 in the Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA. Born May 7, 1927, in Olean, NY, he was the son of Adelbert and Minnie Rarey Maynard. He was employed as a ride operator by Jubilee Park in Carolina Beach, NC. Surviving are: three nieces, Annie (Jesse) Chaffee of Harrison Valley, PA, Ruth French of Addison, NY, and Candy Maynard of Olean, NY; five nephews, Charles Gynnip of Elmira, NY, Raymond Gynnip of Irving, NY, John Gynnip of Lakeland, FL, James Gynnip of State College, PA, and Harold Maynard Jr. of Enon, OH; several great-nieces and great-nephews, including special great-nieces, Jessica Chaffee of Elkland, PA and Virginia Doucette (children Nick, Patrick, Billy) of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada; and great-nephew, Paul Bethlehem of Harrison Valley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Harold Maynard, Sr., infant sister Genevieve Maynard, and sisters Beatrice Gynnip and Amanda Maynard. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, October 26, 2012 in the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. The Rev. Duane Burdick will officiate.
