SMETHPORT- Henry N. Spencer, 91, of Pump Station Rd., passed away Monday (Feb. 11, 2019) in Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport.
Born January 15, 1928, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Norman and Lela Bailey Spencer.  On July 16, 1960, in Eldred, PA, he married Carolyn C. Southard, who survives. They were married 59 years.
Henry was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1946.
Mr. Spencer was employed with Pierce Glass Co. of Port Allegany, and later with Dresser Manufacturing Co., Bradford, as an electrician-mechanic, for several years, before his retirement.
He was a member of the Sartwell Creek Union Church, Burtville,      F. & A.M. Liberty Lodge 505, Port Allegany. He loved to work on automobiles in his spare time. Henry’s multifaceted talents knew no bounds.
Surviving in addition to his wife Carolyn, are a son, Terry (Darla) Weske of Connaut, OH; three daughters, Cheryl L. (Arnie) Scher of North Chesterfield, VA, Debbie (Edward) Hannah of Florida, and Christie L. (Kevin) Drabert of Smethport; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Helen Fessenden.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 13, 2019) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Allen Long, pastor of the Sartwell Creek Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lewis Run, PA.
Memorials can be made to McKean County SPCA or Alzheimer’s Association.
