Rev. H.D. Youngblood, Jr.
ROULETTE- Rev. H.D. Youngblood, Jr., 82, of Hester Ave., went to be with his Lord, Monday (Apr. 24, 2017) in his home, surrounded by his family.
Born July 17, 1934, in Gilmer, TX, he was a son of H.D. and Gladys LaGrone Youngblood, Sr.  On May 30, 1958, in Kingston, TN, he married Vivian A. Neergaard, who survives.
Rev. Youngblood, graduated from Union Grove High School, Gladewater, TX, and Tennessee Temple College & Seminar, Chattanooga, TN. His life ministry included pastoring Grace Baptist Church, Henderson, TX, North Eulalia Baptist Church, Coudersport, First Baptist Church of Roulette, Wrights Evangelical Church, and Chestnut Street Baptist Church both of Port Allegany.  He retired in 2004, after 43 years of service.
He loved the Lord and was a faithful member and retired charter pastor of the Chestnut Street Baptist Church, Port Allegany; a church in which he helped establish.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Vivian, are a daughter, Judy (Dean) Gordon of Roulette; a son, Keith (Vickie) Youngblood of Dunlap, TN; five grandchildren: Duane, Sharla, and Drew Gordon of Port Allegany, Rebekah Swanger of Minot, ND, and Travis (Amber) Swanger of Dunlap, TN; a great-grandson, Eli Swanger of Dunlap, TN; three brothers, James, Thomas, and Kenneth Youngblood all of Gilmer, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, FoyGene and Steve Youngblood; and a sister, Sue Gibson.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (Apr. 28, 2017) in the Chestnut Street Baptist Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. Jack Gregg of the Regular Baptist Church, Smethport and Rev. Max Simms of the Hilltop Baptist Church, co-officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Roulette.
Memorials can be made to the Chestnut Street Baptist Church.
