Grace B. KEAR, 94, of Ulysses, PA, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Born December 26, 1918, at the Buck Farm in Ulysses, PA, she was the daughter of Lawrence E. and Mabel Evans Buck. She was a 1936 graduate of Lewisville Vocational School in Ulysses and a 1938 graduate of Mansfield Normal School. On December 26, 1938, in Ulysses, she married Lloyd W. Kear, who predeceased her in 1998. Mrs. Kear and her husband owned and operated the Kear Funeral Home and Ambulance Service in Ulysses for many years. She was a member of the Ulysses First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star #95 in Ulysses. Surviving are: a son, Arthur (Laurie) Kear of Ulysses; two daughters, Kay (Thomas) Engle of Ulysses and Sarah (Kevin) Lewis of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, Raymond (Sylvia) Buck of Ulysses; a sister, Jean Howe of Walnut Creek, CA; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Roger L. Buck and Robert A. Buck; and four sisters, Lois Wilson, Gladys Angood, Louise Miller, and Dorothy Erway. Friends may call Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday in the Ulysses First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason K. Reed officiating. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
