Gordon Ross SURDAM, 74, of Ulysses, PA, formerly of Galeton, died Monday, October 18, 2021 in the Green Home, Wellsboro.
Born April 29, 1947, in Coudersport, he was the son of Lee G. and Margaret M. Steadman Surdam. On June 22, 2013, he married the former Charlene Baker Stevens, who survives. Gordon was employed by Lush Brothers in Galeton. He was a member of God’s New Beginnings Church in Harrison Valley and a social member of the Galeton VFW. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing in the Slider area.
Surviving besides his wife, Charlene, are: two children, Lesley (Jeffrey) Post and Ross (Kim) Surdam, both of Galeton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-children, Dawn M. Lowe, James Lowe, II, Michael Lowe, and Jonathan Lowe; a brother, Richard (Vanessa) Surdam of Galeton; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Bonnie Lee Doud and Faye Hooker; and two brothers, Thomas G. Surdam and Gary Surdam.
Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
