Gordon “Dan” Cotter
ROULETTE- Gordon “Dan” Cotter, 73, of Third St., passed away Wednesday (Oct. 3, 2012) as a result from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born April 30, 1939, in Roulette Township, PA, he was a son of Walter A. and Eloise Davie Cotter. In 1981, in Austin, he married Janice Litzinger.
He was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of the Port Allegany High School, Class of 1957.
Mr. Cotter was also a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the US Army.
He was employed with Pittsburgh Corning Co., Port Allegany, as a foreman in the glass block department before his retirement.
Surviving are a daughter, Sarah A. Cotter of Roulette; a brother, Walter J. (Betty) Cotter of Centerville, VA; and a sister, Phyllis M. (Dean) Cowles of Little Genesee, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Edgar Brewer, Jr.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 14, 2012) in the Grace Fellowship Chapel, Farmers Valley, PA, with Rev. Jerry Stauffer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Roulette.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
