Frederick E. QUICK, 83, of Gaines, PA, died Sunday, April 21, 2019 in his home.
Born April 29, 1935, in Mills, PA, he was the son of Virney and Hattie M. Plaisted Quick.
On June 21, 1986, in Marshlands, PA, he married the former Connie M. Stone, who survives.
He was employed by Patterson Lumber for 27 years and the PA Department of Forestry for eight years. Throughout his life, he raised beef cattle and was a farmer at heart. His family remembers him as hard working and good hearted. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
Surviving besides his wife, Connie, are: four children, Roger Quick of Killeen, TX, Linda (Jeff) Gnan of Coudersport, Michael A. Quick of Gaines, and Emma Quick of Westfield; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Phoebe Button and Emma Courtright; and two brothers, Kenneth Quick and James L. Quick.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, April 26, 2019 at Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. The Rev. Ed Siddle will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Health and Hospice Tioga County, 32-26 Central Ave., Third Floor, Wellsboro, PA 16901.
