Frances A. Caulkins
PORT ALLEGANY- Frances A. Caulkins, 94, of Route 155 N, passed away in her home, Sunday (Jan. 31, 2021) surrounded by family.
Born December 21, 1926, in Roulette Township, she was a daughter of Leon P. and Blanche Bird Earle. On Feb. 16, 1947, in Port Allegany, she married Gerald E. Caulkins, who died Apr. 9, 2007, they were married 60 years.
Frances was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1945.
Mrs. Caulkins worked at the former Cameo Doll Factory, Port Allegany, and was a loving mother of three children.
She was a member of the National Honor Society, life member of the VFW Auxiliary, Post 6391, Port Allegany, and the American Association of Retired Persons. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, archery, camping, animals, reading, fossil collecting, and most of all, her family, friends, and her journey down life’s highway,
Surviving are two sons, Gary E. (Barbara) Caulkins of Port Allegany, Michael R. (Annette) Caulkins of Roulette; a daughter, Tamara S. (David) Wagner of Cuba, NY; six grandchildren, four great-grand-children; a sister, Kathryn (James) Gotshall of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald, two brothers, Carl and George Earle; and two sisters, Beatrice Mantz and Trudy Victory.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette.
