Evelyn B. Radlinski
PORT ALLEGANY- Evelyn B. Radlinski, 92, formerly of Volney St., passed away Friday (Oct. 7, 2016) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born May 6, 1924, in Waynesburg, OH, she was a daughter of Clinton R. and Clara V. Bliss MacFarland. On Oct. 26, 1944, in Bradford, she married Thomas R. Knapp, who died Dec. 2, 1991. On Oct. 9, 1993, in Port Allegany, she married Leonard F. Radlinski, who died Dec. 10, 2006.
Evelyn was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1942.
Mrs. Radlinski had been a secretary for Port Allegany High School, and most recently with Pennsylvania Dept. of Welfare in Allentown, PA, before her retirement.
She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Port Allegany, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, and a current member of the Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, gardening, art, and poetry, but most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are a son, Timothy R. (Karen) Knapp of Coudersport; two daughters, Sandra K. (Michael) Mehringer of East Stroudsburg, PA, Pamela J. (Paul) Hrabovsky of Rural Valley, PA; three stepsons, E. William (Ronni) Radlinski of Springfield, IL, James L. (Susan) Radlinski of Andover, MA, Paul L. (Lisa) Radlinski of Geneva IL; a stepdaughter, Judith E. (Paul) Devine of Lake Oswego, OR; two stepdaughter-in-laws, Sara Radlinski of Waterford, CT, and Cathy Radlinski of Monroe, CT, 12 grandchildren, and 14 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean Knapp Hull of Bellingham, Wash., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two stepsons, E. Robert Radlinski and Dr. Ronald Radlinski, three sisters, Ruth D. Burr, Laura M. Pearson, Eleanor Tarabori; and a brother, Harold MacFarland.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 15, 2016) in the Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Adam Knapp and Rev. David Minor, Sr., co-officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
