Evelyn "Lynn" GRANT

Evelyn P. “Lynn” GRANT, 79, of Ulysses, PA, died Monday, December 25, 2023 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.  

Born July 11, 1944, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Morrow and Emily Lotte Perkins.  On August 13,1966, in Pittsburgh, she married George Robert “Mac” Grant, who survives.  A 1962 graduate of Shaler High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in home economics and a master’s degree in elementary education from Mansfield University.  She was employed as a home economics teacher in the Galeton Area School District, home economist by North Penn Gas Company, Head Start teacher in Ulysses and Galeton, and I.U. #9 Title 1 math teacher in the Galeton Area School District and enrichment teacher in Potter county schools.  She was a member of Cowanesque Chapter #33 Order of the Eastern Star, Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild, All Saints Episcopal Church in Brookland, St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Galeton, Galeton BPW, and Friends of Galeton Public Library.  

Surviving besides her husband, Mac, are:  five children, Douglas  Grant of Sunderlinville, Jana (Joel) Snyder of Richfield, Daniel (Kristina) Grant of Gaines, David Grant of Ulysses, and Jill (Tom) Campbell of Wellsboro;  eight grandchildren, Matthew Grant, Paige Grant, Kamryn Campbell, Hayes Campbell, Lillian Grant, Ella Snyder, Alivia Grant, and Lydia Grant;  a sister, Martha Roenigk of Pittsburgh;  nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Carol Storer.  

Friends may call Friday, December 29, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Galeton.  A private memorial service will be held on Saturday for family and close friends.  Rev. Sherry Elliott will officiate.
