Ethel M. STEBBINS

Ethel M. STEBBINS, 93, of Stannards, NY, formerly of Whitesville, NY, Macedon, NY, and Lake Wales, FL, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, NY. Born October 23, 1921, in Rexville, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Emma Day Downey. On September 27, 1941, in Whitesville, she married Leland H. Stebbins, who predeceased her in 1998. Attending business school in 1970, she began a secretarial career at Chase Pitkin in Rochester, NY. Surviving are: three sons, Harold (Linda) Stebbins of Walworth, NY, Harvey (Sue) Stebbins of Stannards, NY, and Wayne (Donna) Stebbins of Macedon, NY; a daughter, Linda (Ron) Whitesell of Andover, NY; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Arnold (Berta) Stebbins of Lake Wales, FL; and a sister-in-law, Donna (Ken) Johnson of Wellsville, NY. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Ronald Downey; and a brother, Walter Downey. There will be no public visitation or service. Private graveside services will be in Whitesville Rural Cemetery.
