Etelka MATTISON, 83, of Hickox, Genesee, PA, formerly of Ulysses, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in her home. Born May 10, 1930, in Galeton, PA, she was the daughter of Lorenzo and Sarah Griffin Robinson. She was married to Raymond E. Mattison, who predeceased her on December 27, 1994. Etelka was a homemaker and a lifelong area resident. She was employed by Galeton Production and Westinghouse. Surviving are: three children, Marge Lamphier of Mansfield, PA, Edward Mattison of Mansfield, PA, and Roger Gordon (Freida) Mattison, Sr. of Genesee; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a grandson she raised, Gordon Nowakowski; two great-granddaughters, Trina Nowakowski and Cassandra Nowakowski; a sister, Helen Mastin of Ulysses; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda L. Button on July 26, 2012. Friends may call at the Solid Rock Bible Church, Hickox, PA on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2:00 -3:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 3:00 PM. Rev. Mel Ternes will officiate. Burial will be in South Branch Cemetery, Galeton, PA. Memorials may be made to Solid Rock Bible Church, 1735 Grover Hollow Road, Genesee, PA 16923.
