E. Lorraine Manning
PORT ALLEGANY- E. Lorraine Manning, 79, of E. Mill St., formerly of Roulette, passed away Sunday (Oct. 11, 29015) in Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, surrounded by her family.
Born March 21, 1936, in Corning, NY, she was a daughter of Harold E. and Emmalena Miller Manley. On Oct. 16, 1954, in Nelson, PA, she married L. Ray Manning, who survives. They were married 60 years.
Lorraine was a graduate of Elkland High School, class of 1954, where she was class valedictorian.
Mrs. Manning was a resident of the area for 49 years, coming from Tioga, PA.
She worked as a bank loan officer with the First National Bank, retiring with over 30 years of service.
Lorraine was a member of the Riverside Methodist Church, Roulette, where she was past president of the United Methodist Women, past secretary of the Riverside Methodist Church Administrative Council. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Eulalia Chapter 148, Coudersport.
Surviving are two sons, Terry R. (Debbie) Manning of Gettysburg, PA, Thomas L. (Wendy) Manning of Port Allegany; a daughter, Cheryl K. (Michael) Nasto of Port Allegany; 6 grandchildren, Kate, Emily, Stephen (Miranda) and Jacob Manning, Thomas (Erin) and Alyssa Nasto; 2 great-grandchildren, Brodie and Bentley Manning; a sister Ann (Duane) Sisson of Lima NY, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 14, 2015) in the Riverside Methodist Church, Roulette, with Rev. Randall Headley, pastor and Rev. Joann Piatko co-officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Roulette.
An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m., in the funeral home, by the Eulalia Chapter 148, Coudersport.
Memorials can be made to the Riverside Methodist Church or the Port Area Ambulance Service.
