Elizabeth E. JOHNSON

Elizabeth E. JOHNSON, 96, of Wellsville, NY, died Thursday, October 21, 2022 in Wellsville Manor Care Center.

Born February 7, 1926, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of John and Ruth Hann Baldwin. In 1944, in Wellsville, she married William H. Johnson, who predeceased her on January 1, 1985. A graduate of Wellsville High School, she was employed as a housekeeper by the Wellsville Motel. Betty also owned and operated a ceramic shop in her home in the 1970’s.

Surviving are: two children, Deborah Hardwick of Wellsville and William (Theresa) Johnson of Gorham; four grandchildren, Brenda, Monica, Morgan, and Ethan; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Boekell of Wellsville; nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by an eight-year old brother.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
