Eleanor SEBASTIAN

Eleanor SEBASTIAN, 91, of Genesee, PA, died Saturday, June 8, 2024 in UPMC Coudersport.  

Born May 19, 1933, in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of Harold and Hazel M. Ritter Johnson.  On December 26, 1951, in Genesee, she married John H. Sebastian, Jr., who predeceased her on July 6, 2000.  She was a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist and a member of the Wellsville Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Eleanor’s beautiful flower gardens were a labor of love and enjoyed by passers-by for decades.  She loved the birds and hummingbirds that congregated in her gardens.  

Surviving are: six children, Barbara Flack of Severance, CO, John W. Sebastian of Shinglehouse, Cathy Coleman of Wellsville, NY, Thomas (Donna) Sebastian of Berthoud, CO, Chris (Vonda) Sebastian of Shinglehouse, and Vicki (Denis Holohan) Sebastian of Wurtsboro, NY; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Bickford of Tappahannock, VA; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Fred) Allen of Westfield; nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Penny Sue Sebastian; two sisters, Marie Holland and M. Jean Gilpin; and a brother, Robert H. Smith, Jr.  

Burial will be in Raymond Cemetery.
