Edward John MURPHY

Edward John MURPHY, 64, of Coudersport, PA, died Friday, June 9, 2023 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.  

Born August 8, 1958, in Bristol, he was the son of Joseph M. and Lorna M. Holland Murphy, Sr.  He was employed by a blacktop company in Bensalem, a safe moving company in New Jersey, and most recently as a custodian by American Legion Potter Post #192 in Coudersport.  Ed was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Coudersport.  

Surviving are:  his wife, Darlene A. Murphy;  six children including, Jennifer A. Post and Edward J. Post, both of St. Marys;  five grandchildren;  two sisters, Catherine “Kay” J. (George C.) Lee of Genesee and Lorna M. Robinson of Coudersport;  two brothers, Michael T. (Sharon) Murphy of Oakford and Joseph M. (Peggy) Murphy, Jr. of Conneautville;  nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, James P. Murphy;  a nephew, George J. Lee;  and a brother-in-law, Jack L. Robinson.  

Services will be private.  Memorials may be made to American Legion Potter Post #192, Coudersport, PA 16915.
