Edward KOSA, Jr., 93, of Ulysses, PA, died Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Born February 27, 1922, in Himlerville, KY, he was the son of Ede and Yolanda Dienes Kosa. On April 14, 1944, in Coudersport, PA, he married the former Helen Yardlay, who predeceased him on February 26, 2013. A 1939 graduate of Ulysses High School, he and his wife owned and operated EDKO Farms for many years. Ed was a member and deacon of the Bible Union Church in West Bingham, PA. He served as a director and member of numerous business, civic, and agricultural organizations, including First Citizens National Bank, Potter County Conservation District, Headwaters RC&D Council, Farmland Preservation Board, PA Farm Bureau, Tioga/Potter Farm Bureau, Potter County Extension, Select Sire Power, Agway, Progress Through Communications, and a charter member of the Tri-Town Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving are: four sons, E. Gene (Nancy) Kosa, Douglas (Donna) Kosa, and Kurt (Laurel) Kosa, all of Ulysses, and Brian (Marianne) Kosa of Woodbridge, VA; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Yolan "Jennie" Zimmerman of NE; a brother, Ernest R. Kosa of Wellsville, NY; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a grandson, Justin Kosa. Friends may call Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2:00 -- 4:00 and 7:00 -- 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday in the Bible Union Church, West Bingham, PA. Pastors Brian Kosa and Marty Reisman will co-officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
