Edith J. COLE, 97, of Elmer, PA, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro. Born June 29, 1918, in Ulysses, she was the daughter of Arthur James and Pearl Potter Truax. On September 12, 1937, in Knoxville, she married Carroll R. Cole, who predeceased her on May 30, 2005. She was employed by Galeton Production, Eberle Tannery, and Electri-Cord in Westfield. Surviving are: four grandchildren, Bill (Susan) Cole of Elmer, Donald, Teresa, and Kenneth; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Truax of Painted Post, NY; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Carroll Duane Cole; a brother, William Raymond Truax; and a sister, Margaret Truax. Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. Pastor Ed Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Potter Brook, PA. Memorials may be made to the Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance, Ulysses, PA 16948 or the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Co., 112 E. Tannery St., Harrison Valley, PA 16927.
