Dorothy Lucille EBERSOLD

Dorothy L. EBERSOLD, “Mama Dot”, 95, of Galeton, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 11, 2025. 

Born January 15, 1929, in Germania, she was the daughter of Frederick and Florence Blair Menken. Dorothy attended school in Germania and Galeton. On July 17, 1948, in Galeton, she married Raymond E. Ebersold, who predeceased her on April 11, 2001. Dorothy was employed by Galeton Production and E.F. Dean, Inc., the family business she and her husband were co-owners of until his retirement in 1992. Dorothy and Raymond wintered many years at their home in Englewood, FL, moving there in 1992. They loved the beach, fishing, and traveling, especially to Air Force Reunions. Dorothy enjoyed bingo, NASCAR, and football. Jeff Gordon, Peyton Manning, and Penn State were her favorites. In later years after Ray’s death, she moved back to Galeton to be near her family. She enjoyed going to casinos, where she was always lucky. For many years, she and her daughter attended NASCAR races at Watkins Glen, NY. She was a former member of the Galeton Order of the Eastern Star and First Presbyterian Church in Galeton. Dorothy was a member of the Galeton Moose and Knoxville VFW Auxiliary. 

Surviving are: a daughter, Terree A. Campbell; a granddaughter, Jaime (Derek) Palmatier; two great-granddaughters, Alexys Palmatier and Braelyn Palmatier; a sister-in-law, Linda (Ken) Mance; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Deborah Lee Ebersold; two brothers, Ralph Menken and Richard L. Menken; and a sister, Marian Beacker.

Per Dorothy's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton.
