Doris L. VAN PELT

Doris L. VAN PELT, 92, of Harrison Valley, PA, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Born March 31, 1920, in Westfield, PA, she was the daughter of G. Gordon and Cleva Luce Walters. On May 11, 1940, in Osceola, PA, she married Raymond W. Van Pelt, who predeceased her on September 15, 2002. She was a member of the Harrison Valley Federated Church. Surviving are: two daughters, Sandra Francis and Gayle Wilson, both of Harrison Valley; three grandsons, Scott Wilson of Wellsville, NY, William (Christine) Francis of Knoxville, PA and David Wilson of Harrison Valley; and two great-grandchildren, Erica Wilson and Julian Francis; a brother, Robert F. Walters of Harrison Valley; a sister, Lillian Pauline McPhail of Harrison Valley; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Merritt L. "Pete" Walters, Harold Walters, and Clyde Walters; and two sisters, Bernice Clark and Arlene Steadman. Friends may call Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Pastor Ed Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Federated Church, Harrison Valley, PA 16927.
