Dona I. BLAKE

Dona I. BLAKE, 83, of Gold, PA, died Friday, March 20, 2015 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Born November 6, 1931, in Whitesville, NY, she was the daughter of Leonard and Violet Carl Garner. On November 10, 1953, in Ulysses, she married Henry K. Blake, who predeceased her on January 3, 2015. She was employed by Galeton Production and Gol-DEN-Ray for many years. Dona was a member of the Gold Church and the former Gold Missionary Society. A devout Christian, she raised her children in the Lord. Surviving are: five children, Leonard (Evelyne) Blake of Las Vegas, NV, Cheryl (Albert) Witt of Scio, NY, Melvin (Jacquelyn) Blake of Genesee, PA, Thomas (Kate) Blake of Hornell, NY, and Karen Blake of Olean, NY; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lavern Garner of Leroy, NY and Virgil (Linda) Garner of Andover, NY; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Jason and Julie. Friends may call Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday in the Gold Church, Gold, PA. The Rev. Frank Mickle, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
