Debora J. Johnson
PORT ALLEGANY- Debora J. Johnson, 56, of Chestnut St. passed away Sunday (May 3, 2015) in her home, after a lengthy illness.
Born January 10, 1959, in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Dale and Joyce Schoonover Campbell. On June 25, 2004, in Smethport she married Robert W. Johnson, who died Aug. 9, 2009.
Debora worked as an activity assistant with Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, before having to retire.
She was a lifetime resident of the area and attended the Port Allegany High School.
She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 460, Port Allegany. She loved her dogs and friends, and enjoyed horseshoes, softball, and pool in community leagues.
Surviving in addition to her mother Joyce Courteau of Port Allegany, are a daughter, Christie L. (Greg) Campbell of Port Allegany; five grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Tina) Barber of Austin, Steven W. Barber of Port Allegany; a sister, Dorothy I. Fortner of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and a son, Jeffery S. Campbell.
At Debora’s request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a date and place to be announced.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
