David B. WARRINER

David B. WARRINER, 84, of Rexville, NY, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 in McAuley Manor, Hornell, NY. Born June 22, 1927, in Harrison Valley, PA, he was the son of Howard B. and Lillian Van Duren Warriner. On November 20, 1949, in Greenwood, NY, he married the former Alice Jean Stephens, who survives. He was a self-employed farmer, bus driver with the Greenwood and Canaseraga School Districts, employed by Alfred State College, Sears Roebuck and Co. in Hornell, Canaseraga School District, Nichols Store in Hornell, and was last employed as a houseparent and night watchman with the Northern Tier Children's Home in Harrison Valley, PA. David led several small group Bible studies in the area. Surviving besides his wife, Alice Jean, are: seven children, Duane (Sally) Warriner of Perry, NY, Dawn (Ron) Billings of Independence, NY, Darlene (Wayne) Sargent of Rexville, NY, Dwight (Anita) Warriner of Virginia Beach, VA, Daniel (Laura) Warriner of Hornell, NY, Darryl Warriner of Hornell, NY, and Dennis (Exzilda) Warriner of Lyndonville, NY; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Edmond (Lois) Warriner of Canisteo, NY, Howard (Arnet) Warriner, Jr. of Arkport, NY, Johnny (Marilyn) Warriner of Canisteo, NY, and Richard (Lorraine) Warriner of Greenwood, NY; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Elijah David Conroy; and a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Clarence Boehnke. Friends may call Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Bennett's Creek Bible Church, 3740 Route 248, Canisteo, NY, 14823, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. William E. Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bennett's Creek Bible Church or Gideons International, P.O.
