David M. Snyder
PORT ALLEGANY- David M. Snyder, 66, of Sartwell Creek Rd., passed away Thursday (Mar. 18, 2021) in his home, after a lengthy illness.
Born November 23, 1954, in Washington DC, he was a son of Saylor C. and Maria Marinari Snyder. On Nov. 22, 1997, in Port Allegany, he married Karen L. Comstock, who survives.
David was a longtime resident of the area coming from West Chester, PA. He was a graduate of Concord High School, Delaware, class of 1972, and Swarthmore College, with a degree in History & Philosophy.
He was employed with UPS of West Chester, PA, and Costa's in Coudersport, before his retirement.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Civil War Preservation Trust, now known as American Battlefield Trust, and National Parks Conservation Association. He also loved to farm and was an avid sports fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Karen, is a son, Bryan J. Snyder of Dover DE; a brother, Douglas (Cynthia) Snyder of Ocean Pines, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and newborn daughter, Lindsey A. Snyder.
At David’s request, there will be no funeral service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
