Darla M. DAVIS, 58, of Westfield, PA, died Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, UPMC Wellsboro.
Born June 28, 1966, in Wellsboro, she was the daughter of Kenneth E. and Barbara J. Hamilton Burrous. On October 13, 1984, in Brookland, PA, she married T. James Davis, who predeceased her on October 13, 2022. A 1984 graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School, she earned an associate’s degree in computer information systems from Williamsport Area Community College, North Campus. She was employed by Adelphia in Coudersport, Westfield Tanning Company, and Frontier Communications, Rochester, NY. Darla was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Westfield, where she served as treasurer, secretary, vestry member, and senior warden. She was also a member of the Cowanesque Valley Alumni Association and served as treasurer of Westfield Little League and Allegheny Mountain Youth Baseball. When her children were in school, she was active with PTO and band parents.
Surviving are: her father, Kenneth “Fub” Burrous of Westfield; her children, Jaymes K. Davis of Westfield and Elizabeth (Jacob Pettie) Davis of Ashburn, VA; her sister, Shammi (Walter) Belliveau of Wellsboro; two nieces, Trish (Greg) Crum and Elspeth (Alex) Miller; and three nephews, Jairod Shoemaker, Patrick Shoemaker, Jacob Shoemaker. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her mother.
Friends may call at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 205 Elm Street, Westfield, PA on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with a Memorial Service following at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Thomas S. Gramley will preside. Burial will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield.
