Daniel A. Yeager
PORT ALLEGANY-Daniel A. Yeager, 69, of Skinner Creek Rd., passed away Tuesday (July 27, 2021) in the Olean General Hospital.
Born October 4, 1951, in North Tonawanda, NY, he was a son of James W. and Margaret Smith Yeager. On July 24, 1976, in Port Allegany, he married Helen Darlene Bosworth, who predeceased him on Nov. 11, 2019.
Daniel was a veteran of the Viet Nam War, having served with the US Navy.
He was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of Smethport Area High School, class of 1969.
Daniel loved to fish and hunt. He also loved his chocolate milk shakes.
Surviving are two sons, Brud (Teri) Yeager of Winter Springs, FL, Stacy (Angelina) Yeager of Erie, PA; a daughter, Tammy (Matt) VanScoter of Port Allegany; 11 grandchildren: D-Kota (Lucas) Kline, Miranda Wilber, Savannah Gray, Bladen Yeager, Parker Yeager, Jett Ruding, Coy VanScoter, Preston and Payton Yeager, Journey Wilmoth and Ayla VanScoter; 2 great-grandchildren: Lillian Langworthy and Drew Heysham; two brothers, Michael Yeager of Rew, Robert Yeager of Shinglehouse; and a sister, Karen Stebbins of Port Allegany; two dogs, Mr. Binx and Kitty-kitty along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife Darlene, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jennie Koehler, and brother-in-law Mark Stebbins, who was his best friend, and fishing buddy.
At Daniel’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
