Daniel P. NAUMAN

Daniel P. NAUMAN, 90, of Ulysses, PA, formerly of Lancaster and Adams counties, died Monday, October 15, 2012 in his home. Born December 10, 1921, in Manheim, PA, he was the son of Norman W. and Hettie Peters Nauman. He owned and operated a dairy farm in Ulysses Township since 1962, retiring in 1995, and was a certified reflexologist for many years. Dan was a member of the Valley Christian Church in Westfield and Penn-York Camp & Retreat Center in Ulysses. He was actively involved in a home Bible study group. Surviving are: a son, Jesse (Sandra) Nauman of Ulysses; four daughters, Janet (Charles) Ness of Skippack, PA, Jeanette (Donald) Miller of Ulysses, Mildred (Fred) Hershey of Lancaster, and Margaret (Marcus) Thomsen of Millersville, PA; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rhoda (Earl) Metzler of Willow Street, PA; three step-sons, Benjamin (Mary Jane) Newcomer of Lake Wales, FL, Glenn (Lisa) Newcomer of Elmira, NY, and Lynn (Sue) Newcomer of Emporium, PA; two step-daughters, Joyce (Harold) Lefever of Elmira, NY and Sharon (Larry) Cleek of Freeville, NY; 18 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Pauline Heller; his second wife, the former Reba Myer Newcomer; two sons, Jonathan and David; four brothers, Elam, Enos, Benjamin, and Milton; and a sister, Elizabeth Herr. Friends may call Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA and on Friday at the Valley Christian Church in Westfield, PA from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM. His son-in-law, Rev. Charles Ness, will officiate. Friends may call at the Crossroads Community Fellowship, 1060 E. Newport Road, Lititz, PA on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 1:00 PM. His son-in-law, Rev. Charles Ness, will officiate. Burial will be in Hess Mennonite Cemetery, Lititz, PA.
