Cynthia S. Baxter
PORT ALLEGANY- Cynthia S. Baxter, 58, of E. Mill St., passed away Wednesday (May 19, 2021) in Saint Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA.
Born April 22, 1963, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Clifford “Ted” and Audrey “Connie” Mantz Boyer. She was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1981, and Jamestown Comm. College, in 1983, with an Associate degree, as Registered Nurse.
Cynthia was employed with Charles Cole Hospital, Coudersport, and later with Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, before having to retire.
She is a member of the United Methodist Church, Port Allegany, where she was financial secretary, and member of the church choir.
Surviving in addition to her father, Clifford “Ted” Boyer, are two sons, Eric M. (Jordan) Gustin of Gibsonville, NC, and Gregory A. (Kara) Gustin of Ulysses, PA; four grandchildren: Emberlynn, Greyson, Lennon, and Liam Gustin; a sister, Sallie J. (Gene) Wild of Cuba, NY; two brothers, Randy A. (Deborah) Boyer and Barry D. (Carey) Boyer both of Port Allegany; longtime companion Richard Fargo of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey “Connie” Boyer, Jan. 1, 2020.
Friends will be received from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday (May 22, 2021) in the United Methodist Church, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Matt Howe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Portage Valley Cemetery, Wrights.
Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church or McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Ave., Bradford, PA 16701, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
