Catherine "Kay" FLEWELLYN

July 27, 1934 — June 7, 2022

Catherine “Kay” FLEWELLYN, 87, of Whites Corners, PA, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.

Born July 27, 1934, in Rixford, she was the daughter of Louis Thomas and Martha N. Messler Stives.  On November 9, 1957, in Whitesville, NY, she married Craig A. Flewellyn, who predeceased her on May 2, 2016.  Kay was employed by Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville as a nurse’s aide for many years, then worked in surgical sterilization department.  She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Whitesville, NY.

Surviving are:  five children, Gregory Flewellyn of Harrison Valley, Jeffrey (Jalea) Flewellyn of Wellsville, NY, Debra (Craig) Kamiya of Ewa Beach, HI, Laurie (Tom) Mixter of Wasilla, AK, and Lisa (Todd) Morris of Waupaca, WI;  a daughter-in-law, Donna Flewellyn of Gainesville, VA;  11 grandchildren;  17 great-grandchildren;  sister-in-law, Betty Flewellyn of Warrenton, VA;  nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Timothy Flewellyn;  four sisters, Esther Pritchard, Laura Musto, Eunice Latten, and Florence Barton;  and four brothers, Wilford Stives, Harold Stives, Eugene Stives, and Willard Stives.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in Whites Corners Cemetery.  Rev. Mike Culver will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department, 112 E. Tannery St., Harrison Valley, PA 16927 or Potter County Hospice, 1001 E. Second Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.
