Carolyn J. MATTESON

Carolyn J. MATTESON, 72, of Genesee, PA, died Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.

Born April 12, 1949, in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Henry J. and Dorothy E. Pero Hamilton.  On September 19, 1970, in West Bingham, she married David E. Matteson, who survives.  A graduate of Northern Potter High School, she was employed by Ulysses Woodcraft, Dave Leet Potato Farm, Medplast in Westfield, Costa’s in Coudersport, and Potter County Homemakers.

Surviving besides her husband, David, are:  four children, Andrew (Amy Fields) Matteson of Genesee, Vicky (Brian) Carr of Roulette, Crystal (Jon) Inzana of Genesee and Kimberly Kio of Ulysses;  14 grandchildren;  18 great grandchildren;  a brother, Henry M. (Marie) Hamilton of Ulysses;  five sisters, Phyllis (Gene) Thompson of Ulysses, Lorraine Angood of Ulysses, Norma Cornell of Ulysses, Lucille (Frank) Morseman of Ulysses, and Jeanette (Ronald) Silsby of Genesee;  nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Jonathan Kio;  and a brother-in-law, David Angood.

A private graveside service will be held in Woodland Cemetery at Five Corners, Coudersport.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
