Carl L. Shaffer
PORT ALLEGANY- Carl L. Shaffer, 75, of Smethport, formerly of Port Allegany, passed away Thursday (Jun. 13, 2019) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born September 30, 1942, in Bradford, he was a son of Lewis L. and Myretta F. Culver Shaffer.
Carl was a lifetime resident of the area and worked on the Shaffer family farm before his retirement.
Surviving is a brother, Larry J. Shaffer of Port Allegany, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roy R. Shaffer, and two sisters, Donna J. McKenzie and Beverly A. Frisbee.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. (June 22, 2019) in the Birch Grove Mennonite Church, Port Allegany, with Daniel Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette.
Memorials can be made to the McKean County SPCA or the Teacher’s Pet Rescue, Coudersport.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
