Brian K. SMITH

November 19, 1956 — January 24, 2020

Brian K. SMITH, 63, of Austin, PA, formerly of Willow Street, PA, died Friday, January 24, 2020 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.

Born November 19, 1956, in Coatesville, he was the son of James Martin and Peggy Taylor Smith.

On March 16, 2018, in Lancaster, he married the former Robin F. Weaver DeGeorge, who survives.

He served honorably with the US Army.  After the service, he was employed as a farmer in Ronks.  He owned and operated a construction company for six years, then worked for other construction companies for 29 years.

Brian loved to fish, hunt, cook, and barbecue and made his own sauce, Daddy’s BBQ.  He attended Gold Church in Gold, PA.

Surviving besides his wife, Robin, are:  three children;  Shaun Smith, Adam Smith, and Ashley Smith;  several grandchildren;  five siblings, Christopher (Jeanette) Smith, Timothy (Katrina) Smith, Bridget (Kevin) Seller, Angel (Larry) Downs, and Cindy Finkbiner;  nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his previous wife, Sandy;  a daughter, Mindy Rhodes;  a brother, Dennis Smith;  and a sister, Annette Adams.  Friends may call at Gold Church, 2402 SR 49 W, Ulysses, PA on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 11:00 AM– 12:00 Noon, with Funeral Services following at 12:00 Noon.  The Rev. Frank Mickle will officiate.  Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.  Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gold Church, 2402 SR 49 W, Ulysses, PA 16948.
