Brian K. Hanchett
PORT ALLEGANY- Brian K. Hanchett, 56, formerly of Port Allegany and Kane, passed away Monday (Nov. 1, 2016) in the Windsor House @ Snyder Memorial Health Care Center, Marienville, PA.
Born Aug. 23, 1964, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Clarence R. and Hilda Mae Bent Hanchett.
Mr. Hanchett was a longtime resident of the Lake Shore Home of Kane, PA.
Brian was an avid WWF wrestling fan and NFL Steelers fan.
Surviving are a brother, Perry A. (Sally) Hanchett of Port Allegany; four stepbrothers, James W. (Sue) Sherwood of Meyer, AZ, Richard C. (Marilyn) Sherwwood of Port Allegany, Dennis J. Sherwwood of Grifton, NC, Thomas A. Sherwood of Coudersport, PA; three stepsisters, Donna M. (Darrell) VanSickles of Port Allegany, Debbie S. Montes of Crescent, IA, Diane (Bill) Metzler of Darlington, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and stepmother, Grace L. Hanchett, three brothers, Jeffrey L Hanchett Holiday, Kenneth J. Hanchett, David J. Hanchett; and a sister, Gloria J. Knauer.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Friday (Nov. 4, 2016) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with Rev. Michael Culver, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Hill Cemetery, Port Allegany.
