Bonnie L. Sheerer
PORT ALLEGANY- Bonnie L. Sheerer, 68, of N. Brooklynside Rd., passed away Monday (Feb. 6, 2017) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born June 23, 1948, in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Harlen W. and Leola Hardes Mericale. On Oct. 18, 1980, in Port Allegany, she married Myron F, Sheerer, who died Oct. 26, 2006.
Bonnie was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1967, and also a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, 1974, as an LP Nurse.
Surviving are a son, Donald H. Sheerer of Port Allegany; two daughters, Beth I. (Bill) Pekarski of Coudersport, Leola S. (Jed) Davis of Coudersport; two stepdaughters, Durlyn Cool and Tara L. (Dalton) Lewis both of Rhode Island; 1 grandson, and 2 granddaughters; a brother, William Mericle of Palestine, TX; two sisters, Betty J. Baer of Port Allegany, and Gay L. Glenn of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Myron, and a brother, David Mericle.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
