Benjamin J. RANSOM, 40, of Ulysses, PA, died Sunday, August 25, 2024 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. 

Born April 3, 1984, in Coudersport, he was the son of William H. and Cathryn Nardone Ransom. On October 12, 2019, in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Clyde, NY, he married the former Tiffany M. Crowe, who survives. A 2002 graduate of Northern Potter High School, he earned an associate degree from Alfred State College and graduated from Southeast Lineman Training Center in Trenton, GA. Ben was employed by Tri-County Rural Electric. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wellsville, Genesee Rod and Gun Club, and IBEW #1319. 

Surviving besides his beloved wife, Tiffany, are: a daughter, the light of his life, Anna Marie Ransom; his parents, Bill and Cathy Ransom of North Bingham; two siblings, William H. “Billy” Ransom, Jr. of Ulysses and Jessica (Eric) Case of Almond, NY; paternal grandfather, Dale (Georgia) Ransom of Genesee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Patrick and Belinda Crowe of Clyde, NY; brothers-in-law, Ryan (Lisa Blackmer Crowe) Crowe, Devin (Ann Zhakovich Crowe) Crowe, and Patrick M. (Melissa Gentile Crowe) Crowe; sister-in-law, Kaitleen Crowe (Jason) Neuschwander; nieces, Lexi Case, Evie Case, Chloe Crowe, Cecilia Crowe, Vienna Crowe, and Sophia Crowe; nephews, Kellan Crowe, Kaden Crowe, and Evan Crowe; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Dominick and Janet Nardone; and paternal grandmother, Carol Ransom. 

Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Friday, August 30, 2024 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wellsville. Celebrants will be Rev. James Hartwell, Rev. Christopher Wheeler, and Rev. Joseph Dougherty.
