Belmont, NY - "Loving wife, mother & grandmother" Gloria L. Tronetti, 78, of 5196 State Route 244 passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010 shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville. She was born October 18, 1931 in Scio the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Eymer) Linnecke. On August 18, 1951 in Belmont she married Charles "Bud" Tronetti who survives.
Gloria was raised in Scio and graduated from Belmont Central School. She was employed as an assistant manager at J. J. Newberry's Department Store in Wellsville and was a dental assistant for Dr. Edward Schwert in Belmont for several years. She was a real-estate agent for Century 21 and had served as the Assessor for the Town of Amity. She was a member of the Holy Family Church in Belmont, a long time member of the church choir, a member and past president of the Altar & Rosary Society and a former member of the Amity Rescue Squad.
A loving wife mother and grandmother she is survived in addition to her husband by four children, Charles (Marcie Black) Tronetti of Belmont, Sherry (Dan) Teach of Apex, NC, Sue (Dana) Ross of Belmont and John (Liz) Tronetti of Columbia, SC, ten grandsons, ten great grandchildren, one brother, Frank (Cathleen) Linnecke and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Linnecke and two sisters, Katie Linnecke and Bernice Wilson.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 am at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., 17 Schuyler Street in Belmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church in Belmont with Rev. Jerome Dissek as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
