Barry L. WENTZELL, 67, of Mills, PA, formerly of Wind Gap, PA, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA after being stricken at home on his tractor.
Born September 20, 1949, in Wind Gap, PA, he was the son of Paul and Emma Irene Schoeneberger Wentzell.
On September 21, 1985, in Wind Gap, he married the former Marlana A. Gerhart, who survives.
He was employed by PennDOT for 17 years, retiring in 2012.
Barry was a lifelong farmer and resided in Potter County for the last 30 years.
Surviving besides his wife, Marlana, are: three children, Robin Lynn Fagan of Philadelphia, PA, Kathy Ann Wentzell of Bethlehem, PA, and Irene Emma (Mark Strawbridge) Wentzell of Whitehall, PA; two grandchildren, Rose Catherine Fagan and Jake James Williams; six siblings, Stanley (Eleanor) Wentzell, Carol (Edward, Sr.) Reid, Sandra (Agidio "Pat") Poloni, Helen (Ronald) Fox, Linfort (Judi) Wentzell, and Alvin (Barbara) Wentzell; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; best friends, Terry and Sue Plumstead; canine companion, Mitzi. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Dorothey Schreck.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Dennis Munro will officiate. Burial will be in North Bingham Cemetery.
