Barbara Elizabeth Hilfiger RUSSELL, 85, of Corning, NY, formerly of Westfield, PA, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Absolut Care at Three Rivers, Painted Post, NY.
Born August 29, 1932, in Ulysses, PA, she was the daughter of Frank and Maude Krusen Hilfiger.
She was married to Elwyn J. Russell, who predeceased her in 1986.
A 1950 graduate of Ulysses High School, she devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara was a volunteer at the Northern Tier Children's Home Thrift Store in Wellsboro for many years and was a member of the Westfield Historical Society.
Surviving are: five children, Nancy Killigrew of Horseheads, NY, Susan Test of Corning, NY, Dana (Konni) Russell of Wysox, PA, Kim Russell of Atlanta, GA, and Brian Russell of Elmira, NY; seven grandchildren, Christopher Hayes, Tracey (Christopher Glick) Hayes, Amanda Russell, Scott (Meg) Test, Billy Test, Kathleen Russell, and Ashley Russell; six great-grandchildren, Brody Hayes Glick, Braden Hayes Glick, Bayleigh Bennett, Quintin Russell, Ariel Russell and Violet Cramer; and two sisters, Margaret Wright of Coudersport, PA and Frances Frost of Lampasas, TX. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Marian Payne and Helen Flynn; and four brothers, Billy, Malcolm, Keith, and Kenny Hilfiger.
At Barbara's request, there will be no public visitation or service. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
