Audrey D. LOWREY

Audrey D. LOWREY, 83, of Dry Prong, LA, formerly of Gaines, PA, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in her home.  

Born July 16, 1940, in Hector Township, PA, she was the daughter of Howard and Mayme B. Snay Stevens.  On February 24, 1990, in Knoxville, she married Melvin L. Lowrey, who predeceased her on September 3, 2019.  She was employed by Cooper-Slide in Genesee, Electri-Cord in Westfield, and retired from Truck Lite in Wellsboro in 2003.  

Surviving are:  two sons, Frank (Dawn) Taft, Jr. of Dry Prong, LA and Lowell Howard Taft of Westfield;  six grandchildren;  several great-grandchildren;  six step-children, Don (Irene) Lowrey of Evington, VA, Melvin Lowrey of San Angelo, TX, Nancy (Sidney) Brunson of Snyder, TX, Robert (Veronica) Lowrey of Moorefield, OH, Michael (Amber) Lowrey of Palm Coast, FL, and James (Emily) Lowrey of Atlanta, GA;  nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Lee Stevens;  three sisters, Beverly Neefe, June Flynn, and Wilma Lowe;  and four brothers, Lowell Stevens, Ivan “Jeff” Stevens, Roland “Rip” Stevens, and Ray C. Stevens.  

Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses, PA on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM.  Rev. David R. Brelo will officiate.  Burial will be in Parker Hill Cemetery.
