Arthur E. LANDVATER

Arthur E. LANDVATER, Sr., 77, of Westfield, PA, formerly of Halifax, PA, died Thursday, November 5, 2015 in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY. Born November 8, 1937, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of Arthur J. and Kathryn Stopfel Landvater. On October 15, 1956, in Halifax, he married the former Carole Y. Miller, who survives. He was employed in maintenance by Ralston-Purina in Mechanicsburg, PA and Michael Foods, Inc. in Klingerstown, PA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving besides his wife, Carole, are: three sons, Arthur E. Landvater, Jr. of Halifax, PA, Randy Landvater of Westfield, and Jeffery (Jerri) Landvater of Snow Camp, NC; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Shirley Garrison of Carlisle, PA; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary Landvater. The family will hold a private gathering at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.
