Anna HAZZARD, 91, of Galeton, PA, formerly of Wilmington, DE, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 in her home. Born April 12, 1923, in Wilmington, she was the daughter of Nathaniel and Nora Smith Clifton. A registered nurse, she was employed by Wilmington Delaware Hospital, Wilmington Hospital, Dupont Convalescent Home, and worked as a private duty nurse. Anna was a longtime member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Stanton and the Order of the Eastern Star. She served as president of the Delaware Nurse's Association. Surviving are: three daughters, Beverly Walraven of Sacramento, CA, Diane (Dale) Fuller of Galeton, and Rena (Gary) Snyder of Wilmington; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by eight siblings and a granddaughter, Donna Hoffman. Friends may call at Brandywine Valley Funeral Care, Beeson Chapel, 412 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809 on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. Pastor Rick Lehman will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington. Memorials may be made to Susquehanna Hospice, 24 Walnut St., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
